Biomass factories in Iceland are looking at reducing gas prices and emissions by producing ethanol to mix with gasoline.
The Icelandic Association of Biomass (Íslenska lífmassafélagid) is about to finish its profitability estimate of two biomass factories to be built in the south and north of Iceland. Fréttabladid reports.
If everything goes according to plan, the factories could start producing ethanol in 2010. Grass would be used for the production.
