Icelandic Footballer Joins Fulham on Loan

Eidur Gudjohnsen, a 32-year-old Icelandic professional football player who used to play for Chelsea and Barcelona, signed an agreement yesterday on joining London football club Fulham on loan from Stoke City until the end of the season, the BBC reports.

This is Gudjohnsen’s fourth club exchange in 18 months. He was recruited by Stoke in September 2010 but hasn’t been given many opportunities to play; the last league game he played with Stoke was in October, Morgunbladid reports.

Gudjohnsen might already play his first game with Fulham against Newcastle tonight. Fulham places 15th in the English Premiere League, four places above the dropout seat.
