Icelandic Fisherman Dies in Morocco

By Iceland Review

An Icelandic fisherman died onboard a trawler docked at a harbor in Morocco on Christmas Day. The man, who had been cleaning the hold, appears to have died of lack of oxygen along with his Moroccan colleague.

The case is being investigated, but according to Morgunbladid, the lack of oxygen could be linked to special sea cooling tanks that were used on the trawler.

The trawler is operated by fishing company Fleur de Mer from Morocco.
