Icelandic Film Either Way Nominated for the Dragon

The Icelandic film Á annan veg (Either Way) is one of eight films nominated for this year’s Dragon, the Nordic countries’ most important film award, Rú reports. Hrönn Marinósdóttir, director of RIFF, Reykjavík Film Festival, is a member of the festival’s main jury.

The festival opens today in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Close to five hundred films will be screened at this international festival. Eight Nordic films compete for the Dragon. Since its premiere last autumn, Á annan veg has been screened at numerous festivals and won a handful of awards.

Two Icelandic films have previously won the Dragon, Nói Albinói and Voksne Mennesker, both by Dagur Kári Pétursson. The award will be handed out on February 4th.
