Iceland’s entry to this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, ‘Ég á líf’ (‘I have a life’) by Eyþór Ingi will be performed in Icelandic.
Discussions had been ongoing as to whether the song would be performed in Icelandic or English. This is the first time since 1997 that Iceland’s entry to the competition will be performed in Icelandic, ruv.is reports.
The music video for the entry was released at midday and is available for viewing here.
The two semi-finals will take place May 14-16 and the final on May 18 in Malmö, Sweden.
The song is currently at the top of the Icelandic charts.
