Icelandic Development Assistance Lowest among Nordic Countries

The contribution by the Icelandic government to foreign aid is the lowest among the Nordic countries.

According to data from Eurostat, the Official Development Assistance in Iceland is EUR 57.6 per capita, less than a tenth of Norway’s EUR 689 per capita. Sweden contributes EUR 426 per capita, Denmark EUR 378 and Finland EUR 187.5.

It was recently announced that the Icelandic government intends on making cuts to development aid next year.
