The Icelandic Society in Washington DC held its annual Christmas party last weekend. It was held at the residence of the Icelandic ambassador in Washington.
Icelandic ex-pats and their partners came to the party with their children to enjoy hot chocolate and Icelandic pancakes in the company of fellow countrymen. RÚV reports.
Afterwards Santa Clause dropped by to have a chat with the children and give them Icelandic candy that he had brought in his sack. He only spoke English, though.
After the visit from Santa the party guests danced around the Christmas tree and sang Icelandic carols.
