“This is like winning the lottery that these people are interested in working with us because they get a number of requests every week,” actress Hrefna Hallgrímsdóttir, who created Skoppa and Skrítla with actress Linda Ásgeirsdóttir, told Morgunbladid.
The initial marketing of the colorful duo has received positive reactions in the UK and the real life Skoppa and Skrítla, Hallgrímsdóttir and Ásgeirsdóttir, have now hired the former CEO of Warner Brothers Kids WB John F. Hardman as artistic director for their project. Investors have already become involved.
A task force of specialists has been established in Los Angeles to adapt Skoppa and Skrítla’s adventures to the American market. A new play about the two friends will premiere in Reykjavík City Theater in February.
