Icelandic Cargo Ship Catches Fire

A fire broke out on one of the largest Icelandic cargo ships, Goðafoss, earlier this morning. The ship was 70 nautical miles west of the Faroe Islands on its way to Iceland when it called the Coast Guard for assistance.

The crew of 13 extinguished the fire which was in the ship’s chimney house.

Þór the Icelandic Coast Guard ship, is on its way to Goðafoss, ruv.is reports.
