The band Swords of Chaos released the album The End is as Near as Your Teeth this week on behalf of Kimi Records. To celebrate the release, the band will play in concert at the bar Faktorý in Reykjavík on October 1.
Also this week, Amiina released its sophomore album Puzzle, a follow-up to the 2007 Kurr. Amiina is a widely-traveled band, as it has played in concerts around the world, both as back-up to Sigur Rós and on their own.

Furthermore, solo-artist Ólöf Arnalds released her second album Innundir skinni this week—the album has already been praised by critics of respected music magazines, such as Mojo and Uncut.
Arnalds is currently on a tour of the UK and will soon play in concerts in the US. Both Puzzle and Innundir skinni are released by Smekkleysa in Iceland.
