Icelandic Band’s Video Garners Global Audience

Icelandic band Árstíðir’s video of the group performing Icelandic hymn ‘Heyr himna smiður’ at a train station in Wuppertal, Germany, went viral recently after the Telegraph and the Huffington Post posted the video on their websites, ruv.is reports.

The video has had almost half a million views so far. The song was composed 800 years ago.

The band won the 21st Eiserner Eversteiner European Folk Music Award last year.
