Icelandic art on display in the Netherlands

Icelandic artist Arnór G. Bielvedt is currently participating in a joint exhibition in Galerie Beeldkracht in Scheemda, Groeningen, the Netherlands. The exhibition, held to celebrate the gallery’s tenth anniversary, is open until the end of July.

Bielvedt’s paintings feature landscapes and flowers and are based on his childhood memories of Icelandic nature, as the artist explained in a written statement.

Other artists who participate in the exhibition include Arvee, Petr Hampl, Shunyam, Ellen van Toor, Koos Smit, Johanna Walters and Katahelijne C. Hes. They are all Dutch except for Hampl, who is Czech.

“White Roses,” mixed technique on canvas.
