Vilborg is attempting to climb each of the seven continent’s highest peaks over the next year. Six mountain climbers accompanied Vilborg on the journey up Elbrus. They reached the summit this morning, mbl.is reports.

Earlier this year, Vilborg became the first Icelander to walk solo to the South Pole. She shared her experience of the expedition in an interview in the January-March issue of Iceland Review.
