Icelandic Actress Stars in New Danish Series

Ten-year-old Icelandic actress Katrín Alfredsdóttir plays the lead in a new Danish television series, Thea og Leoparden, which is scheduled to premiere on DR, Denmark’s national broadcasting corporation, next fall.

“My friend was planning to participate in the show and then they asked her if she knew someone who was small and then she told them of me,” the young actress explained to Morgunbladid.

Katrín plays the part of Thea, an eight-year-old girl who has no friends and has just been discharged from hospital after being treated for leukemia. The series features Thea’s search for a friend.

The series are produced by David Oesterboeg, who is known for projects such as the drama series Taxa.
