Icelandic actor Stefán Karl Stefánsson, mostly famous for playing Robbie Rotten in LazyTown, has received positive reviews in the American media for his portrayal of the Grinch in a musical based on Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
According to ruv.is, the musical itself is not considered especially successful, but the Baltimore Sun and Variety say Stefánsson carries the piece.
Stefánsson is said to enchant the audience with his powerful acting, with his grunting and swaggering and elegant dance moves. The musical has been playing in Baltimore lately but heads for Boston next week where it will be staged throughout December.
