Icelandic actor Darri Ingólfsson, who has lived in the U.S. in the past years playing the part of a senatorial aide in the ABC series Last Resort, has now been cast to play in Showtime’s popular drama series Dexter.

In Iceland, Darri is best known for his part in the thriller Messenger by director Hjálmar Einarsson.
Darri is set to star as an antique dealer of old medieval equipment who starts dating the blood spatter pattern analyst/serial killer Dexter’s Morgan neighbor, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
This will be the eighth and probably last season of Dexter and will also feature Charlotte Rampling and Sean Patrick Flanery. The season’s premiere is scheduled for the summer.
The award-winning series is based on the eponymous novels by Jeff Lindsay and have earned Michael C. Hall, who portrays the main character, a Golden Globe.
