Icelandic National Broadcasting Service, RÚV, reports that Icelanders have a favorable opinion of the Icelandic Weather Bureau and monitor its forecasts closely.
According to RÚV, a recent poll conducted by the consulting company ParX showed almost 90 per cent of Icelanders monitor weather reports on a weekly basis or more frequently. Two-thirds of the population follow the reports daily.
