Icelandic historians Jón Th. Thór and Gudjón Fridriksson have been hired to record the history of Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. The project will be introduced in Copenhagen next Friday.
Thór and Fridriksson have both confirmed to Fréttabladid that they will take part in this project, but have not revealed who the publisher will be.
The book is reported to have many volumes and to feature Copenhagen as the capital of Iceland from when the two countries began their alliance in the middle ages and until 1918, when Iceland gained sovereignty.
Fridriksson has been awarded with the Icelandic Literary Awards on three occasions. Thór is best known for having recorded the history of the Icelandic fishing industry.
