A renowned Dutch sociologist, Ruut Veenhoven, has published the results of a happiness survey which he made on all the world’s countries.
According to this survey, Icelanders are the fourth happiest nation in the world along with the Irish. In the top three places are Denmark, Malta and Switzerland. The Irish newspapers covered this story this morning. According to Veenhoven, happiness is based on democracy, freedom, tolerance, good governing and wealth.
