Icelanders among Lowest Paid Immigrants in Denmark

Icelanders are close to the bottom of a new list on the wages of foreign workers in Denmark. The new statistics, compiled by the employee committee of the Danish Workers Union, indicate that Icelanders have among the lowest average wages of foreign workers; only nationals of five Eastern European countries as well as Pakistan have lower salaries, reports.

Bulgarians are at the bottom of the list with ISK 200,000 (USD 1,640, EUR 1,250) per month. Icelanders and Turks are in seventh place with ISK 323,000 per month, just half of the average salary of Danes, or ISK 630,000 per month.
