Icelandic movie producer Sigurjón Sighvatsson is to produce a movie by Irish director Jim Sheridan, possibly to star Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon and Oscar-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio.
The movie will be a remake of Brödre (Brothers) by Danish director Susanne Bier, released in 2004. David Benioff will write the script, who is one of the highest-earning screenplay writers in Hollywood, as stated in Fréttabladid.
Some of Hollywood’s most famous actors and actresses have declared their interest in participating in the project, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Reese Witherspoon, but the cast has not been decided on yet.
Sighvatsson explained to Fréttabladid that it can be difficult to get a high-profile cast together, “Many of the biggest stars are booked many months, even years, in advance.”
