Icelander Arrested for Murder in Norway

An Icelandic man was arrested in Norway yesterday morning on suspicion of murder. The individual has been sentenced to four weeks in custody.

The man is accused of having stabbed a fifty-year-old Norwegian man to death late on Saturday in Valle, Norway. Norwegian police confirmed the arrest to RÚV.

The suspect, who is in his 30s and lives in Grimstad, has resided in Norway since 2005.

According to the police, the man was drinking and remembers little from the evening. The men are believed to have had a falling out at a private party when the fight broke out.

The man does not have a history with police, according to the Norwegian police.
