Icelandair will offer at least one direct flight from Keflavík to each of Iceland’s matches in the group stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, RÚV reports. The airline announced the decision on their website, where they stated they will fly to Russia the day before each match and return the day after.
The Final Draw will take place this Friday, December 1st, which will determine the teams Iceland plays in the group stage and in which cities the matches will be held.
This is the first time the Iceland men’s national football team qualifies for the World Cup. Iceland is by far the smallest nation to have done so.
