Upon examination it was discovered the radar equipment had been damaged. Icelandair’s public relations officer Gudjón Arngrímsson told Morgunbladid the repair of the plane would be delayed due to the number of airplanes struck. A second airplane was sent to transport passengers to Paris yesterday afternoon; the plane that was struck by the lightning was expected to fly back yesterday afternoon.
