Icelandair Cabin Crew Call Off Strike

icelandair-flugvel_psRepresentatives of the Icelandic Cabin Crew Association and Icelandair signed yet a new wage contract at the State Negotiator on Thursday evening, which will now be up for a vote among the association’s members.

The strike that was planned today, October 24, has been called off as a result, although strike plans may be resumed if the contract is rejected; members of the Icelandic Cabin Crew Association have twice rejected signed agreements in the ongoing wage dispute, visir.is reports.

After the last vote the Icelandic Cabin Crew Association’s negotiation committee resigned and a new committee was appointed, which was responsible for the agreement made on Thursday.
