The Icelandic national team in men’s football beat Andorra in a friendly at Estadi Comunal d’Andorra la Vella in Andorra yesterday. In doing so, Iceland maintains its record of having won all five of its matches against Andorra without conceding a goal.

Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson scored the first goal at ten minutes into the game and, in his first game for the national team, Rúnar Már Sigurjónsson scored the second at 58 minutes, Fréttablaðið reports.
Iceland is currently vying for a spot at the 2014 World Cup. The team lost their last game, against Switzerland, 0-2, on their home turf at Laugardalsvöllur stadium in Reykjavík on October 16.
Iceland’s next game in the qualifying round is against Slovenia on March 22, 2013.
