The travel agency Iceland Travel received an award as one of the ten best tour organizers in the world at the annual Cruise Shipping Miami conference in Florida last week.

The award, entitled “Celebration of Excellence”, was granted by the company The World of ResidenSea, visir.is reports.
“To be publicly recognized this way as a company is a great honor for us, especially in the demanding cruise industry,” commented Liz Gammon, who oversees Iceland Travel’s cruise department.
The luxury cruiser World, which is operated by The World of ResidenSea and docked at 145 harbors on its world cruise last year, has come to Reykjavík many times and Iceland Travel has been responsible for organizing tours for the travelers.
It also organized onboard lectures by, among others, volcanologist Haraldur Sigurdsson and tour guide Steingrímur Gunnarsson, who enlightened passengers while the cruiser sailed between the Faroe Islands to Iceland.
