Iceland through to Eurovision Final

Iceland is through to the final of the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest with Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson’s ‘Ég á líf’ (‘I have a life’) after scoring enough points to qualify in yesterday evening’s semi-final.


Iceland was among ten of the 17 countries which performed yesterday evening to qualify. The other countries are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Malta, Norway and Romania.

Ten countries also qualified in the first semi-final, held on Tuesday: Belarus, Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Lithuania, Moldova, Russia, The Netherlands and Ukraine.

The final will be held in Malmö, Sweden, on Saturday.
