Iceland to Take Seat at IMF in 2014

Iceland will represent the eight nations within the World Bank’s Nordic-Baltic constituency at the World Bank’s Development Committee and the IMF in 2014.

Jim Kim, director of the World Bank, met with Foreign Minister of Iceland Gunnar Bragi Sveinsson in Iceland yesterday. Among other issues, the pair discussed the eradication of poverty and the financing of international development, as stated in a press release from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
