Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt told reporters in Brussels this morning that Iceland would not get a fast track treatment in their application for membership of the EU.

However, Iceland can take a quicker path than usual, the Bloomberg news website reports.
The EU’s Foreign Ministers meet in Brussels today and on the schedule is Iceland’s application for EU membership.
