Iceland Music Export (IMX) is planning a huge party in Los Angeles during the last weekend in April to promote Icelandic music. Performers include Iceland’s country queen Lay Low and front man of rock band Dikta Haukur Heidar Hauksson.

A new album will also be presented at the party. “It is a mix CD that will be released as iMix on iTunes at the end of this month. We’re going to present it to people who buy music for movies and commercials,” managing director of IMX Anna Hildur Hildibrandsdóttir told Morgunbladid.
The party will be held at Lanette Phillips’s house, who, according to Hildibrandsdóttir, is well connected with the showbiz in Hollywood. The initiative is part of the project Made in Iceland, which IMX is working on in the US.
