Iceland impatiently awaits iPhone

Nearly 150 Icelanders have registered on a waiting list for Apple’s iPhone, which will not arrive in local stores until December. Apple in Iceland receives requests about iPhone every day, although it has not even been promoted in the country.

iPhone sales open in the US tomorrow and already by Tuesday eager fans had begun lining up outside Apple stores, Bladid reports.

The device is a telephone, MP3 player, and internet browser in one. There are no keys, only a touch screen. It was recently revealed that the iPhone could connect directly to YouTube, a video website.
