Icelandic Minister for Foreign Affairs Össur Skarphéðinsson met with Chief Negotiator for Negotiations on Accession of Montenegro to the European Union Aleksandar Andrija Pejovic yesterday.

Pejovic is in Iceland to study the work of the Icelandic negotiation committee. He met with his Icelandic counterpart, Stefán Haukur Jóhannesson to discuss the process of preparing accession talks as well as the negotiation process itself.
Montenegro began accession talks with the EU Council of Ministers in June.
On Tuesday, business representatives and former ministers from most political parties, all advocates for Iceland joining the EU, attended a meeting on Iceland’s accession talks.
