Iceland Express Adds Warsaw to Destination List

By Iceland Review

Icelandic airline Iceland Express has added Warsaw, Poland’s capital, to its list of destinations for the summer of 2008. The airline will also offer continued flights to Barcelona, which was added as a destination this fall.

“It is pleasing to be able to add destinations in Europe to our list for yet another year,” Iceland Express CEO Matthías Imsland, said in a press release. “Our goal is to further increase competition in the aviation market and make it easier for the public to travel abroad. The acceptance indicates that we on the right track.”

Iceland Express, which will celebrate its fifth anniversary next summer, also has scheduled flights to Alicante, London, Paris, Eindhoven, Frankfurt Hahn, Basel, Friedrichshafen, Berlin, Billund, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, Stockholm and Oslo.

The airline will also offer direct flights between Akureyri, northeast Iceland, and Copenhagen, and Egilsstadir, east Iceland, and Copenhagen next summer.
