Iceland Eruption. Video of the new Volcanic Fissure

The volcano close to the Eyjafjallajokull glacier began erupting 10 days ago, forcing hundreds of people to leave the area and leading authorities to divert flights.

A new fissure a few hundred meters long opened up on Wednesday. Geologists said the activity is moving further north, toward the nature reserve of Thórsmörk, a popular tourist site. They were surprised that the new fracture seemed to come without warning in the form of earthquakes. “We saw no earthquakes at all, not even very small ones”, a geologist said to mbl.is.

On the website ruv.is you can see the following video taken this Thursday morning. It is no wonder that people flock to see this phenomenon.
