After beating Norway on Sunday, Iceland now has three points and will come up against Spain tomorrow.

Iceland’s coach Aron Kristjánsson said that the team had problems with its defense and goalkeeping but that it was still important to be awarded one point for the draw. “The second half was tight and fully balanced. I’m unhappy that we did not win this game, but on the other hand this one point can be highly important,” he added, ehf-euro.com reports.

Hungary equalized eight seconds before the end of the game. Kristjánsson called timeout but Ásgeir Örn Hallgrímsson missed the final shot.

Aron Pálmarsson was awarded best Icelandic player of the match for scoring eight goals, five in the first half.
