Iceland Considered Safe Destination for Tourists

According to the website tourism-review.com, Iceland is among the ten safest travel destinations in the world, in spite of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.

The conclusion is based on a low crime rate and the number of prisoners in comparison with the country’s overall population, mbl.is reports.

Other safe destinations listed on tourism-review.com are Cyprus, Denmark, Ireland, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, Singapore and Switzerland.

The Icelandic Tourist Board also points out on its website that opentravel.com recently published a list of the ten most dangerous volcanoes on earth and no volcano in Iceland was considered dangerous enough to make the list.
