Guðmundur Hrafnkelsson the goalkeeper of the Icelandic national handball squad retired in style yesterday when the Icelandic side won long-time nemesis Sweden 36:32 in a friendly game in Hafnarfjörður. This was Guðmundur’s 403rd game for Iceland. This was also Iceland’s first win over Sweden in 16 years, not counting a friendly game three years ago when both sides fielded B-teams.
Iceland beats Sweden, finally!
