Iceland Announces Team for World Cup Playoffs

Manager of the Icelandic national team in men’s football, Lars Lagerbäck, announced the team which will play against Croatia in the 2014 World Cup playoffs on November 15 and 19.

The first match of the two takes place in Reykjavík and the second in Zagreb. The winner of the two matches will earn a place in the World Cup in Brazil next year.

Lagerbäck said he was optimistic about the matches, mbl.is reports. “We have a realistic chance of winning the Croatian team,” he said.
