Iceland and US to discuss defense issues tomorrow

Iceland – US defense talks will resume at 2 pm tomorrow at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Reykjavík reports Morgunbladid.

The last meeting between the two countries was held on March 31 when a US delegation of 26 visited Iceland.

Ambassador Albert Jónsson will lead the Icelandic delegation which is unchanged since the last meeting.

It is expected that the US will presents its plans for the defense of Iceland after the F-15 fighters leave the country in September.

The parties have also agreed to meet on Thursday.
