Iceland and Egypt Sign Investment Agreement

Iceland’s Foreign Minister Ingibjörg Sólrún Gísladóttir signed an investment agreement with Egypt in Cairo yesterday following a free-trade agreement between Egypt and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), which took effect August 1, 2007.

Gísladóttir’s two-day official visit to Egypt ends today, Morgunbladid reports.

During her stay, the minister has met with Egypt’s Minister of Trade and Industry Mohamed Rashid, Minister of Investments Mahmoud Mohieddin and Foreign Minister Ahmed Abdoul Gheit.
