Iceland Airwaves Sells Out

Tickets to the 2014 Iceland Airwaves music festival, which will be held for the 16th time in Reykjavík this year, from November 5 to 9, have now sold out, as announced in a press release yesterday.

A total of 220 musicians will perform at the 12 designated venues in downtown Reykjavík, including 67 foreign bands, among them the Flaming Lips, The Knife and The War on Drugs.

The festival’s final program was recently announced. This year, festival goers will be able to download a special app to put together their own schedule.

Domestic performers include Ásgeir, Samaris, Sin Fang, Sóley, FM Belfast, Mammút, Mugison, Valdimar, Árstíðir, Prins Póló, Agent Fresco, Lay Low, The Vintage Caravan and Vök.

The off-venue program will be announced shortly.
