Iceland’s strongest man Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson briefly appears, wielding a sword, in the new trailer for the fourth season of the popular TV series Game of Thrones.
The series will be premiered in the U.S. and Iceland in April, vísir.is reports.
The series’ cast and crew, about 300 people, came to Iceland last summer to film for the series. Among the locations were Þjórsárdalur, the Hengill area and Stekkjagjá at Þingvellir, the world renowned national park and UNESCO heritage site. The Þingvellir committee had granted a special permission for using the site as location.
The Game of Thrones team had already shot scenes in Iceland for season two and three, in wintertime. Now, Icelandic landscape in full summer bloom will be featured for the first time.
