“It’s the favorite show of people of all ages all around the world,” Jóhanna told Fréttablaðið. She added that it was a pleasant surprise to see herself animated on the show and that she liked the caricature of herself.

“Given what the characters look like on this popular show they did a good job,” Jóhanna commented.

In the Iceland special, Homer Simpson and his friends Lenny and Moe visit the country in search for their friend Carl Carlson, who hails from Iceland.

In the episode, Homer tasted shark and took a dip in the Blue Lagoon. He also made an effort to learn Icelandic, saying: “Ég er með frábæra hugmynd!” (‘I have a great idea!’)
