Iceland’s Lay Low to Play at Glastonbury

Icelandic singer-songwriter Lovísa Elísabet Sigrúnardóttir, a.k.a. Lay Low, will perform at this year’s Glastonbury music festival, held in southwest England between June 24 and 28. Lay Low’s concert is scheduled for June 26 on a stage called The Park.

This is a fantastic promotion opportunity for the young musician because Glastonbury is one of the world’s most respected music festivals. A total of 137,500 tickets were for sale this year and they already sold out in February, Morgunbladid reports.

The lineup for Glastonbury is considered especially grand this year, including heavyweights such as Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen and Blur.

Glastonbury will include another Icelandic act this year; singer-songwriter Emilíana Torrini will also perform during the festival. She is currently touring Europe with Lay Low.
