Icelandic musician Kristín Björk Kristjánsdóttir, better known as Kira Kira, is currently touring Europe. The tour began on January 14 and the last concert takes place on February 7, at the Nordklang Festival in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
Kira Kira plays at 21 venues in total during her trip, which, in addition to Switzerland, takes her to Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Belgium, The Netherlands and Denmark. In spring and summer, Kira Kira plans to tour the UK and Eastern Europe.
Last summer, Smekkleysa record label released Kira Kira’s album Our Map to the Monster Olympics both in Iceland and Japan.
In other music related news, last week Benni Hemm Hemm’s latest studio album, Murta St. Calunga, was released in Japan by Afterhours in cooperation with Icelandic label Kimi Records.
