Iceland’s Handball Team Has Chance of 7th Place

Iceland’s national handball team beat Hungary 36-28 in the European Championship in Norway yesterday, thus having a chance of making it to the 7th place in the tournament. Iceland lost against both France and Germany earlier this week.

“We managed a comeback from a poor situation. The entire team was great today,” player Snorri Steinn Gudjónsson told Morgunbladid after the game yesterday.

According to Morgunbladid, Gudjónsson and goalkeeper Hreidar Gudmundsson deserve to be complimented for their performance against Hungary.
