Iceland’s Foreign Minister Meets Head of World Bank

Minister for Foreign Affairs Össur Skarphéðinsson met with managing director of the World Bank Group, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, today.

Össur and Indrawati discussed the African Rift Geothermal Development Program, in which Iceland plays a key role, as stated in a press release from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

The program is the largest initiative for promoting the utilization of geothermal energy in developing countries.

Indrawati will speak at the opening of the international Iceland Geothermal Conference tomorrow morning.
