Iceland’s first rugby team, the Reykjavík Raiders, will play their first official match tomorrow. Their opponents will be the Thunderbird Old Boys Rugby Club from Phoenix, Arizona.

The match will be played tomorrow afternoon at 4 pm in the Vodafone stadium at Hlídarendi in Reykjavík. The Reykjavík Rugby Union in Iceland has pioneered the development of the sport in Iceland since February 2010 with approximately 40 members.
According to Morgunbladid the game on Sunday will be the first full 15-man Rugby Union match in Iceland.
All spectators are welcome to attend.
