Iceland’s Eurovision Participation in Jeopardy?

By Iceland Review

Iceland’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna in May could be in jeopardy as a result of the ongoing strike in Iceland. District Commissioner lawyers, whose job it is to certify that popular voting for the winner of the national competition, who gets sent to Vienna, has been conducted correctly, are currently on strike, Vísir reports.

Iceland’s 2015 entry is ‘Unbroken’ by María Ólafsdóttir.

But it’s not only Iceland’s Eurovision entry that is in jeopardy: appointments with lawyers concerning the buying or selling of properties and filing for divorce have also been canceled.
